Who can become a member-partner?
Any donor, volunteer, participant, or ordinary citizen who is interested in the Y and supports our mission can become a member-partner. As a member-partner, you can play an active role in our organization. Your involvement in our activities will help us achieve our mission as a charitable organization dedicated to the development of people in spirit, mind, body, and to the empowerment of individuals, families and communities.

Your rights as a member-partner are:
To vote - you have the right to vote during the Annual General Assembly.
To be informed - you will be regularly informed all through the year by those individuals nominated to represent you.
To give your opinion - throughout different events, you will be asked to offer your opinion, give advice, or provide comments and suggestions on the organization’s evolution.

To be involved, also means to have responsibilities
Should you decide to become a member-partner, you will have to attend the Annual General Assembly, where you will nominate Board Members, verify the work done by the Board of Directors, and ratify the financial statements of The YMCAs of Quebec. As an ambassador of the Y, you’ll need to ensure that the Y continually responds to its mission and values.

You will also have to abide the Y bylaws, and on a yearly basis renew your commitment by paying a $5 administrative fee.
