International Development Training - Looking at the world from another perspective.
YMCA International Development Training
The YMCA International Development Training, created by the International Initiatives of The YMCAs of Québec is a means to inform, create interest and inspire reflection on world issues that touch us all.
The workshops are given by different presenters with expertise in their field. They raise awareness of issues that affect us and the global community and how we, as individuals, can bring about positive change through our daily life choices. Many participants have told us that this program has changed their lives. Some have even made career changes to better reflect their commitment to "practice what they preach".
Goals of program
Inform: provide information on global issues that may not be found in the mainstream media.
Inspire:promote reflection on the relationship between one's lifestyle and global issues.
Motivate:inspire individuals to become engaged and proactive citizens.
