Your donation really does make a difference. When you give, you have a direct impact on your community by supporting essential activities such as homework help for kids who are struggling, scholarships for young campers, reception and integration of refugees and new arrivals, and accompaniment of seniors who live alone.
Your support also helps make the Y programs accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. We currently provide more than $675,000 in financial support to more than 5,600 recipients, but we’d like to do even more.
Our fundraising campaigns are run by volunteers, with direct costs of less than 5%, so you can rest assured that your contribution is being put to good use.
For example, this is what your donation can do:

Provide one month of after-school activities for a child registered in the homework help program at the Pointe-Saint-Charles Y centre.

Provide a one-month Family Membership at a Y centre, so that all members of a low-income family can participate in our fitness programs.

Provide a day of specialized accompaniment so that a special-needs child can take part in our programs along with other children.
- $200
Provide one week of Y day camp for a child who would otherwise spend the entire summer at home.

Provide a day of specialized accompaniment so that a special-needs child can attend day camp with other children.

Enable 20 young leaders to take part in an educational outing for a weekend.
- $1,000
Give a teen who has never been out of the city a chance to spend two weeks at Camp Y Kanawana, as well as assistance to purchase any necessary equipment.
