The Repères program at the Du Parc Y centre provides support to students at schools in the Réseau des établissements scolaires Nord of the Commissions scolaire de Montréal (CSDM) who are having difficulty adapting.

What can you do with youth who are having serious problems adapting to school, who never manage to fit into the school environment, and who need a helping hand so they can move forward with their studies? Repères provides these youth with support. Participants in the program are given access to various keys to success during a very necessary break.

For a one- to two-month period, participants receive the coaching they need outside of school. During school hours, participants come to the Du Parc Y centre where they find exactly the environment they need. They work through the six-stage program, which they must complete before they are allowed to return to their original schools.

Repères brings some continuity to their education and provides academic support for participants. The youth also receive individual coaching that encourages them to think in terms of returning to the classroom. Activities include various sports that help them channel their energy in positive ways, as well as workshops where they acquire essential personal and social skills. The program also encourages participants to explore various options, such as different school programs or internships. Every day, the parents are kept up to date with progress reports.

Repères is an opportunity for participants to acquire the tools and guidance they need to perform better in the school environment.
