YMCA Camp Kanawana – Discover the spirit & adventure of Kanawana!



Aside from having an unforgettable experience, were you aware that children who go to summer camp have more self-confidence, are more autonomous, have an easier time making friends, have greater environmental awareness, and are more inclined to take part in physical activities?*

For over 100 years now, YMCA Camp Kanawana has been contributing to the development of hundreds of youth every summer by providing them with a unique outdoor experience in a safe and supportive environment. Led by counsellors who have been specially trained, the campers participate in a multitude of activities that encourages teamwork and self-exploration.

  • Residential summer camp programs (ages 7 to 17)
  • Leadership and Outdoor Adventure programs (ages 10 to 20)
  • Outdoor Education and Adventure classes (ages 5 to 17)

YMCA Camp Kanawana is located in the Laurentians on a magnificent 550-acre site consisting of a pristine forest and three private lakes.

In addition, families may be eligible to receive financial assistance from the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport via its Financial Assistance Program Providing Access to Summer Camps. A financial contribution will be required based on family income.
