The Du Parc Y centre is a real microcosm of life. Children, the young and the not so young, families and groups; there’s something for everyone at this friendly, dynamic and open centre.
The community is the cornerstone of the Du Parc Y centre’s services. The centre is a gathering place that welcomes people in need of support and those who just feel like socializing at a multifaceted organization.
Stronger ties with youth
The Du Parc Y centre prides itself on maintaining close ties with many local organizations so it can offer well-developed programming. Its partnerships with the city of Montreal and the adjacent boroughs of Plateau-Mont-Royal and Outremont, CLSCs, schools, etc. and its local and regional representation give the Du Parc Y centre deep roots in its community.
The youth sector is especially well developed. Many programs are enjoying great success across Québec, such as Alternative Suspension, a program to encourage young people to stay in school. The highly active Youth Zone is a model for community involvement. As well, the Du Parc Y centre offers highly sought-after services such as a daycare centre, a drop-in childcare and a day camp.
Sports for everyone
For sports and recreation, the Du Parc Y centre has high-calibre facilities and a variety of popular classes. This centre also offers an economical family membership.
The Du Parc Y centre enjoys the outstanding support of close to 100 volunteers and many donors. Close to 13,000 people use its programs and services every year.
