"The annual YMCA Strong Kids Campaign is one of our most important fundraising events. The funds raised ensure that all children, youth, adults and families in our community to benefit from the numerous programs provided by the YMCA, regardless of their financial situation," said Linda Bernier, Director, Community Initiatives.
By giving to the campaign, you enable:
- an at-risk youth to benefit from a safe and positive environment in our Teen Zone programs;
- a child from a disadvantaged family to participate in our day camp for one week;
- a senior to join our Rendez-vous Y program, meet others, and socialize in order to break their isolation;
- a child with special needs to experience unforgettable moments at our day camp for an entire week.
YMCA programs are known to have a lasting impact on the well-being of participants, such as fifteen-year-old
Kimberly who is a loyal member of our Youth Zone: “What I like most about the Teen Zone is that you meet new people and you learn a lot from the staff. At home I would just be watching TV after school. But here I can socialize, do lots of activities, and make new friends. The Teen Zone is really fun!”
Your gift will change a life! There are children, youth, adults, and families in your community who need your support.
